Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. The band did not appear on the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. She was the main singer of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it was released in the year 1992. In both commercial terms and critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album, released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The album is a companion to her Now I let you go... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album.
